I wanted to get DH a griddle for our gas stove so he can make his Saturday morning pancakes on them. Do you have a recommendation? I prefer cast iron.

nak-
we've had a two burner lodge for a few years now and we've used it on gas and electric stoves. It had a bit of a learning curve for us initially but we really like it. I use the area in the middle (between the burners) as a "warming" area more or less.

(like if we make pancakes the already cooked ones hang out there to stay warm).

If you get it, please let me know how you like it. I have been looking at the Lodge one for a couple years now, but DH is yet to come through for me with it as a gift!

I've got 2 types. First we bought 2 12" round lodge griddle pans which we used on separate burner and then I bought this steel griddle that fits over two burner. It seasons just like cast iron but I like the ergonomics better. I typically use the big one now and the round lodge when I need something smaller in conjunction with the larger one for big breakfasts.
