I am considering purchasing a new umbrella stroller. We currently have the Jeep one and I hate it. DD always seems slushed-almost like it is too narrow for her. I have to bend down to push it, and I am 5'1". I check to see if the handles could be adjusted and they can't.

I am assuming umbrella strollers are better for the zoo, aquariums, etc.

Well, I like an air tire stroller for outdoor places like the zoo. I use my umbrella for indoor errands and travel. I would use it for the aquarium too.

I really like my Cybex Onyx, but its handles may be too tall for you--they are on the tall side for me 5'7".

How old is your child? The Onyx has full recline which is nice for little ones, but may be overkill if you have a two year old.

Anything else you care about? Weight? Canopy? Price?

Lightweight would be good, DD is 2. Canopy is a must.

I know alot of people really like Macclaren, but I don't know much about them

lhafer did a huge photo comparison of umbrella strollers a few days ago where she compared a bunch of nice, lightweight umbrellas, all with canopies. Here's a link to that thread: http://www.windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=389381&highlight=umbrella

For what it's worth, I have two Maclarens (a Techno and a Quest) and really love them, but I'm taller (5'8"). If you're 5'1", I suspect the Techno's handles might be too tall for you, but the other Maclaren models have shorter handles.

Do you have a budget?

The Quinny Zapp (http://www.babygizmo.com/media/video_quinnyzapp.php) and Joovy Kooper (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1rPr2VCVRM) would be a good height for you.

Also be sure to check the Gilt sale today for Maclaren and Uppa Baby.
