Baby #6 is due any day. My youngest is just 2, and my Phil and Teds e3v2 (about 7 years old and used A LOT!) is dying a very painful death. I'd love to replace it with another double, but can't see myself pushing a big side-by-side as I do a lot of indoor and outdoor walking. I paid $350 for mine new when we bought it but can not find another P&T now for under $479! Is this an impossible quest? If so, are there any other DECENT (i.e. NOT graco duoglider quality) doubles, preferably inline, that I can find for that price. I am not opposed to used as long as it is in very good condition. I honestly have no clue what is even available right now as I have been so satisfied with my P&T.

Thanks!

How about $400?

Starting March 1, Britax is goign to offer a free second seat on the B-Ready. Right now, they are $399 on Amazon. Not sure if they still will be on March 1, but that could be an option.

babyboutiqueoutlet.com has the phil and ted sport in apple for $319.90 and $10 off your first order so $309.90

the doubles seat is $80 but you may be able to find one for less...

Otherwise I'd check CL. Though I sold my EEUC sport with new doubles kit for $375...

Thanks for the reply. I just heard about the B-ready on another inline double post and checked it out on amazon. Has anyone here used both (P&T and b-ready) to compare? I watched a video review of it on Amazon and it seems nice, but I'm worried about the non-air tires and their durability. The apple green P&T for $400 may be my best bet...I am bidding on a new one on ebay right now, so if I lose that (or it goes over the $350 I want to spend) I guess I'll order from baby boutique outlet.

Any other input?

Just hold out for a great deal...

Costco just had the dash for $400 or something on their site... I know this is over your budget though

With the new explorer out, the older models are selling for less...

Patience is key =) Good sale vibes being sent your way!

Oh, and as an alternative, take a look at the B - ready...

Folds with the second seat, comes with accessories (especially after March 1st, great deals to be had as PP stated)

Only difference is it's not an AT stroller...

I just saw Babies R Us is offering a free doubles kit w/ purchase of a Phil & Ted's stroller. Here is a link to the strollers you can chose from:

i don't know about your local craigslist, but I"m seeing a lot of used phil & teds for 250-300. I bought my explorer for 515.

I did an extensive 1 hour comparison of the b-ready and the new explorer at the store. it took me that long to decide (that's how close a call it was), but the pt won out in the end b/c it was at least an inch narrower and just seemed less bulky overall. but perhaps you'd like to try something new...

That's a good deal. That's the new classic. It is close to the older sport with some differences - fixed handlebar - actually has a canopy in the back...
Some people like it better than the explorer. It's hard to find the classic to try out in B&M stores... This would be a good way to go if you want the air tires and light weight of a P&T...

I saw the dash again on costco.com yesterday, so I think it's back in stock. But it was $400-something.

I have used both a B ready and a PT Dash. I still have both in my stash, and I prefer the B ready because it folds with the second seat on (saves time), is easier to fold (no bulky air tires), it has generous sunshades (second seat on PT doesn't have one, although you could buy one or use a blanket), and the seats both recline. With the great deals going on right now, I'd get a B Ready. The only reason I've held on to the PT Dash is because if has the air tires, which I like for walks around the neighborhood or on trails, hikes with the stroller, otherwise, it really has taken a back seat to the B Ready.

Thank you for all your input. As much as I am interested in trying the B-ready (and would really like one of their cool colors versus the black P&T), I thought I could get the amazon deal directly from the seller for $315 (found a 10% off code online). However, the pic on the site does not show the double seat with the sunshade. I am confused. I trying emailing them, but have not gotten a response.

Here is the amazon link showing the classic with the double sunshade

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041DWTGA/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A1DXN92KCKEQV4

Here it is on their site with no sunshade. AIKES! I am hopefully going to be popping this baby out any day and would really like to order the new stroller. I tried walking with my 7 year old P&T yesterday at the mall and it just about put me into labor (or gave me a stroke) trying to deal with the darn thing. The main seat is being held together in the back with a starbucks straw. The ball-bearings on the wheels are totally shot and the thing squeaks louder than a pig, and the front wheel randomly locks making the stroller go off on its own path. Should I just suck it up and forgo the extra 10% ($35) to get the one from amazon with the double shade? Or do I wait until I hear from the company, beccause we all know that Amazon does not always sell what it shows. Grrrr.
