Babysitting Question

I am babysitting a 7 month old little girl for one of my friends who just started working again and we think she has separation anxiety. She will cry and cry unless i hold her is there any other helpful tips anyone can give me to do with her so i can make her happier than just holding her?? Any replys would be helpful so we can both have a better time when her mom is away. :)

She's going to have separation anxiety for a while but you can always redirect her attention to something else. Does she have a favorite toy? Or you can take her out for a walk (if it's not too cold outside). Picture books are great too.
