Usually DD sleeps around 7 pm and wakes around 7:30 am. Lately, she has been waking at 6:40, 6:20, 6 am and then the other day - 4 am. Not sure what is going on. Any explanations?

NIght time routine and all other things have been the same. And she is not really "crying" more so than when she woke up at 7:30. Just can't figure out why the early rising.

DD is about 16 months old.

Thanks so much!

I swear they know when the change of daylight savings times are going to happen. Many times we counted down the days/ weeks till the clocks changed because they'd get us back on track.

At 4am, treat it like 1am- no lights, no talking, tend to her feeding and diaper needs, and if she is willing, let her play in her crib on her own. Odds are she'll fall back asleep. eta- we would do that even at 6am in our family but we are not morning people. :)

If memory serves, DD did the same thing at about this time....we just kept to the same bedtime and she finally started waking up later. She has done this a couple of times, and only once did we think that making her bedtime later would help...it didn't.
