I'm so bummed. We were thinking of going down to FL with the kids for DS1's spring break. But it's a 20+ hour drive from here and there's no way we can do it without driving all day/night or spending waaaayyyyy too much money.

*sigh* I really wanted to be *warm*, on a beach, darn it all.

Have you looked into flying there? Jetblue has $44 a ticket deals if you order early enough. worth taking a look

A train trip? You could get a sleeper car and end up in Orlando. :)

Oh man. Well, I'll commiserate. We were going to go to Wisc. Dells, but now DH says it's not in the budget.

Oh....major bummer :( So sorry. The beach sounds really great now. Could you take a shorter/closer trip that includes a hotel with a spa and heated pool? Maybe a long weekend? :hug:
