Why does my 2 yo keep getting foot cramps?

Title pretty much says it all. I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciatis (sp?) after suffering in pain for several years. Can a 2 yo have pf? She keeps getting these agonizing foot cramps that leave her shrieking in pain. Tonight she wanted me to rub her foot 'HARD'. I felt tightness in her tendons similar to mine. :( I need to call the ped but first wanted to ask the gurus!

My DS started getting these around 2 1/2 and continue intermittently (now 4), almost exclusively at night. What has worked for us are to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day, eat a banana a day, and wear socks to bed. If he gets too tired, that also seems to trigger it (perhaps he wakes more from it). Our ped said this is totally normal.

Lots of fluids help prevent cramps!!!

Hmmm. thanks. Maybe she didn't drink enough today. I will be more vigilant tomorrow.
