I always have such a hard time finding cute summer sandals! I thought I would start now. I need something that will look good with shorts and a solid t shirt. I am ok with a thong type shoe, as long as it has padding and support...in other words no cheap flip flops!

Has anyone found anything in the past they like? What are your go to shoe stores?

I usually wear Birks or Birk knock offs. I'll be looking for something a little more stylish this summer.

I have these

in red and like them. I usually hunt for shoes on Zappos and then google to see if I can find them cheaper. Bricks and mortar, I usually end up at Nordstrom because it is my highest odds of success.

I really like these! I almost bought a pair that was practically identical from LLBean last year. I only held off buying them because of the price (but I think I might bite the bullet this year). Do you remember how much you paid for your pair?

For everyday flat, comfy sandals, I just got these in black patent leather from DSW this week:

They're super comfortable.

Sorry, no idea. I tend to splurge on shoes though so it is entirely possible I paid (gasp) retail.

Kristen,
Those are great! I have a pair from last year (different color but same style). Wore them all the time!

Lisa - so glad to hear you were happy with them. I can't wait for sandal weather to arrive so I can really road test them. :)

I love my Born slides, which I buy at Marshall's or DSW.

I just love reef flip flops. I have tried different sandals but I always go back to these. So comfy. Wore them at Disney all day. My son has reefs also. They are great and lightweight.

I haven't tried these on, so don't know how comfortable they are, but I've been eyeing these:

I also have the cork Tevas Catherine posted earlier, and like them a lot.

I have two pairs of Dansko sandals that are similar in look.

Oh, those are cute!

My go to sandals are a pair of Dansko Lolitas which still have a lot of wear left and are super comfy, but I'm in the mood for a change this year so I'm looking too.

I like em. A little more casual than the ones you originally posted. I'm wondering, when the platform goes all the way to the toes (meaning, the whole shoe is elevated a bit, not just the heel), does that make it harder or easier to balance? After I saw your original shoe, I started noticing wood grain wedges all over the place!

Here are my favorites from two years ago (bought at Nordies sale), and I wish I could find them in my size (10/1/2 W) in black (so I'll have a second pair), and the bronze color. When I saw them on the rack I thought they looked a little dowdy, but when the 20 something SA brought them out and I asked her what she thought of them she said not dowdy at all and really cute. I have worn them with pretty much every thing from maxi dresses to jeans to dress pants.

Love them, but Borns are not comfy on my feet. I have a high instep so maybe that's it, but usually every other brand of shoes I have that has extra arch padding is uber comfy, but Borns=lots of foot pain:(.

Me too! I have some great brown 2" wedges I bought at Nordstrom Rack 3 yrs. ago and I love them. They were hard to break in a bit, but once I did I love them I could wear them all day at Disney or the zoo if I wanted and have no blisters or sore feet.

I would totally wear those if they had a black foot bed. Not sure why but I just prefer black footbeds, esp. if the sole is black.

I love my borns! Most comfortable heels I have ever owned. Isn't it funny how different shoes work or don't work for different people? For example, I cannot wear Clarks, but lots of people love them.

I have problems with my feet and can only wear shoes that are wide enough and provide good arch support. I discovered Think! shoes last year and love how comfortable and supportive they are and the cork footbed molds nicely and they don't seem as stiff as Birksenstocks. These work nicely as a more fashionable alternative to Birks.

The Julia footbed doesn't give me enought support (thinner and less arch support) but the Mizzi footbed fits like a glove (has a higher heel and more arch support). They are pricey but I got most of mine at Sierra Trading Co when they had a 25% off sale + 30% off coupon and ended up being around $60, also got some at Endless when they used to have Bing Cashback.
