If only it was ALWAYS this easy!!!

This morning, DD1 woke up at 5 am, screaming for us. DH went in to see what what going on. Following is the conversation they had:

DH: Sshhh, what's wrong?
DD: (In a whimpering voice) I want to go downstairs.
DH: But it's still night time. You need to go back to sleep.
DD: Oh, ok. (Lies back down, sucks her thumb and goes back to sleep).

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Isn't it great that you can reason with them at this age. DD1 woke up a couple of nights ago at 4 AM and when I went in she asked me to rock her. I told her that Mama was very tired and needed to go to sleep. She said "OK" and lied down again. Six months ago she would have ended up in bed with us!

DD2 is like that now at night too. It's so much better than having to bring her back to bed - she's a huge bed hog, and also thinks my bed is the party bed and keeps me up half the night chatting.

My 7/08 baby is finally getting her big back molars - she's literally cut all 4 in the past 10 days - so she's had some restless nights lately, but has been easy to reason back to sleep, thankfully!
