Best deal on a Mac Twin Techno?

Looking for the best deal on a Maclaren Twin Techno as a gift for a friend. I saw it in grey for just over $300 on diapers.com but it was discontinued before I had a chance to buy it. Anyone see a good deal lately?

I've never pushed a Twin Techno, but I get the impression from others on this board that the steering isn't widely liked. If your friend's not set on this stroller, there are some other lightweight doubles that get better reviews. I have the Mac Techno single, which I LOVE, but based on what I've read of the double Techno I would probably look around & go for something like the Baby Jogger City Mini Double instead.

This is a group gift and the techno was the consensus choice so I don't think there's room for deviation but thanks for the leads.

Have any of the people in the group actually pushed two kids in the Twin Techno? I'd hate to get a really expensive gift I'd never use just because everyone agreed on it. I would try to price match to a store like diapers.com that would allow for a return if necessary. Don't mean to offend, just my two cents. You can get a Baby Jogger City Mini Double for about the same price right now!

ETA: Someone just had a thread on this so do a search for more ideas. I think it's on the second page and called something like: Is this a good deal on a Twin Techno?

Two of the group have or have had the twin techno and like it. I'm deferring to them on this since I only have one kid and therefore no experience with doubles.

Would the techno work for indoors or is the consensus that it's just not worth it at all? I think our friend will also end up getting double jogger for outdoor use so this would not be the only double.
