Is there another common place? I know there are plenty of smaller boutique-places...but wondering if there's another big shop? Especially in LA. I want to send a gift to a family member but they've not registered for much at BRU so I'm thinking there must be somewhere else.

Thanks!

Target seems popular now for baby registries despite the return issues. Some people register at pbk.

Amazon.com?

I did both last time and I'm so done with BRU that I won't even bother with it this time. I'm finding Amazon has a better selection and you can add things from any website. Maybe check if they have a wish list or registry there.

We did Amazon and Target. Some of my mom's friends never shop online, so they liked being able to go to Target. Everyone else loved being able to use Amazon or Target.com.

ETA: This was before Target's return policy got so crappy.

Around here, I'd register for Buy Buy Baby, but it's a small chain, and I don't think they have it out west. I didn't know about Buy Buy Baby when I was pregnant, so I did BRU and PBK. I now truly dislike BRU/TRU and go out of my way to never give them my business. Try Amazon or Target and PBK or Land of Nod for the special things.

Buy Buy Baby, Amazon, and Target. I know there are some baby boutiques in LA, but not sure of the exact names.

I was also going to suggest Amazon and Target.

I most often see Target and BRU. I did get one for Pottery Barn Kids a few months back, but they still had registered at Target too.

A lady I worked with in college registered at a big baby store in LA or Santa Monica. I think it was Baby World or Baby Planet or something like that? But that was so long ago I don't know if it'd even still be in business!

Giggle is also pretty popular.

like PP suggested, Amazon, PBK, Target. BuyBuyBaby does not have stores out in LA area, IIRC.

I did Amazon. I thought prices and variety were better.
