Wow...I hope this is wrong, but either way, the people of Japan desperately need our prayers.

Fox is reporting the explosion as confirmed, but the reactor (?) is still intact.

The tsunami was seen by helicopter, but the warning has expired now...thank goodness.

From BBC's live feed:

0254: To recap, in the past hour we have had reports of a new tsunami which appears to have been a false alarm, and a blast has wrecked a wall at a nuclear reactor but its containment vessel withstood the impact. We also had reports of 2,000 bodies found on the tsunami-ravaged north-eastern coast.

I saw it on Yahoo. Here is about the reactor: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/ts_nm/us_japan_quake

Here is about the second tsunami: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110314/ap_on_bi_ge/as_japan_earthquake

It is heartbreaking and terrifying. I pray for the families, for everyone.

This is all just sad and scary. I have a coworker/friend who is teaching 1st grade in a Department of Defense Dependent School for the Navy. They live south of Tokyo in Yokosuka, I believe. She responded after the first day of events and said it was scary, but that she, her DH, DD(4) and DS(1) were okay. I have not heard back from her since, but I'm praying they still are!!

I just can't imagine what is happening there, despite seeing the pictures!
