how long to assemble Expedit?

How long did it take you to assemble your Expedit and how big is it?

8 cube.. 30-45 min. 2 ppl.

4 by 4 took 1.5 hours with 2 people (one of which had assembled lots and lots of IKEA furniture before).

I did an 8 cube and a 6 cube easily in an afternoon by myself. Maybe 2 hours or so?? And I am NOT mechanically apt (ept?)

The one with the odd shaped cubbies- took about half an hour...

No time at all since I bought our 2x4 in the as-is section!

I assembled the 4X4 by myself. It was pretty quick to do as all the pieces interlock. It's very much like a puzzle. The thing that took the longest was putting the screws in (there aren't many just on the outside pieces) and some of that was me being a bit of a perfectionist about it. I thought it was pretty neat the way they made it to all fit together with pegs.

No time at all since I bought our 2x4 in the as-is section!

:hysterical: I did check the as-is but they didn't have much.

So we just put together 2 2x2s and a 2x4 in about 2 hours..... this stuff is awesome. It looks even better than I expected. :)

This was our first trip and purchase and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly!

i assembled the our first 4x4 by myself in about 45 minutes. i waited until my husband got home to stand it up. i remember being surprised i was under an hour. i did really take in the instructions first, to "see" the pattern to it.

we did the rectangular expedit w/ the random size cubbies (ours is horizontally behind a sofa, so that's the size) in less than 30 minutes.

we did the second 4x4 together in about 45 minutes. it did have the desk surface, but that was pretty simple to put together and clamp on.
