View Full Version : Stair gate with cat door

We have wide stairs and are needing a gate for the top of the stairs that is not pressure mounted and has a small door for a cat to go through. Her litterbox is upstairs so she needs to be able to get up there.

My cat is lazy and won't jump over our gate - so we just mounted it a couple inches higher than we normally would so he can squeeze underneath it.

We just left one of the extension bars off so the cat could get through but the baby couldn't.

What gates do you have at the top of the stairs?

I have landings so it's not really at the top of the stairs. but i can get it tight enough i would be ok with it at the top.

ETA: There are holes in the pressure mounts. You might be able to screw it to the wall.
