My current baby is my 4th, and as such, my baby toys are not in such great condition. I have tons of rattles and teethers (including 2 Sophies, for some reason that I'm not sure of). I have a Skip Hop activity mat that she received for Hanukkah, and a Bumbo seat that I bought because she likes to sit up and see the world. What else would you buy for your almost 7 month old?

Once your LO gets to near pulling-up I would highly recommend the Fisher Price Laugh n Learn Learning Home. If you do a search you'll see it's one of the most often recommended big toys for little kids. (and it supposedly has longevity)

How about Leap Frog's Violet or Scout? Those are both popular too.

The LeapFrog Musical Table is a big hit.

Mostly with DS (8 months) we fill a variety of baskets up with random toys. Emptying them and investigating each item is endlessly fascinating.

I think DD2 got the Learning Home for her first birthday. I noticed it in the basement the other day. None of my kids have been interested in it for a while, so I guess I forgot about that one.

My son also LOVED his excersaucer and jumperoo. Ours hung from a doorway and he would jump, swing, laugh like a maniac. Is your child crawling?

My 9 month old has been loving ANYTHING she can put in her mouth since about six or seven months.

The musical walker gets a lot of attention now as a great place for her to pull to standing and play. I've forgotten the name of it.

Teething rattles, teething books, teething rings are favorites.

She also enjoys simple little balls. She picks them up, pushes them away, crawls after them, etc.

And, she loves anything she can put in her mouth.

Not yet. She just started rolling across the room.

When DS was about 6 months old, I got these:

http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Spin-Sing-Alphabet-Zoo/dp/B000NRX5XE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1300716132&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Einstein-Count-Compose-Piano/dp/B0018Z8BBQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1300716151&sr=1-1

http://www.amazon.com/Early-Years-E00132-Curiosity-Cube/dp/B001EY465Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1300716195&sr=1-1

and they were HUGE hits.... he played with them forever. The piano especially, was a total favorite. I still have them out and he'll play a little with each toy, but not as much now since he's on the go and wants to stand.

After the kids woke up, I found the name of the walker. It's this one:http://www.amazon.com/Vtech-Stand-Baby-Learning-Walker/dp/B0045ZA39E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1300717257&sr=8-2

Of course, I got mine on clearance for around $30 two years ago. But it was probably the #1 favorite toy for both of my girls at this stage.

We have that same one and at 1 year old she loves it and has for a few months. It's great even if they aren't attempting to walk yet.
