A friend of mine from childhood's son has something called "Dravet Syndrome".
There was a local news story about them :

I knew Owen's condition was bad, but I didn't realize how bad. It's devastating, and I can't even imagine how they deal with it on a day to day basis.
Owen is a sweet little boy. His family is wonderful. No one deserves to go through this. And if you could spare a prayer or just a positive vibe for Owen and the Launiers, I would be eternally grateful.

I've known Scott- Owen's Dad- my WHOLE life... and I've never seen him cry, and to see how upset he got during the interview, broke my heart. It's just so sad.

I cried when I saw Owen's daddy lean forward and cry. I want more than anything to hold Owen and make it all go away. I'm crying as I type this and will send a ton of prayers for him. He's so cute.
