Can you recommend a denim patch (iron on)?

I'm trying to get some more wear out of DD's jeans. She wears through the knees so fast. I was wondering if anyone has had any success patching the knees from the inside with an iron on patch?

My mom has does this tons for me. Not only does she iron on, but she also sews around the area to help it last.

I'd like to know too. I have ironed-on patches from the inside when the outside is threadbare, but not quite torn yet. It seems to help it last a little, but the iron-on eventually starts curling off at the corners (and when it curls, it can be a little irritating/ticklish to wear). Basically, I don't thinking ironing on a patch is enough of a solution, so maybe I'll try sewing it on.
