I'd like to find some dairy free chocolate for ds' Easter basket. Dark chocolate is too bitter for him. Suggestions?

Thanks!

We don't have any food allergies but I LOVE and use Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (http://www.amazon.com/Enjoy-Life-Semi-Sweet-Chocolate-10-Ounce/dp/B000HDJZWO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1300565532&sr=8-1) just because they are so good - they are dairy, soy, and gluten free. I just checked their website and they have a few varieties (http://www.enjoylifefoods.com/our_foods/chocolate_bars.html) of chocolate bars that are dairy free. Not very Easter-y looking, but they're dairy free and if they are anything like the chips they'll be delicious.

I don't know if this would be helpful, but Ghiardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips are dairy free (and extremely yummy!). Of course, that only works if you are making something for the basket.

Thanks! He doesn't like the semi sweet chips unless they are in a cookie. Will check out the bars!

The Enjoy Life chips are great - not bitter at all. You can always melt them or the "milk" chocolate bars and put them in Easter themed molds.

Ok, good to know. I actually have a bunny mold. . . .

For a few other possibilities, check out suggestion #3 on http://foodallergies.about.com/od/children/tp/Easter-Baskets-Food-Allergies.htm -- there are several different sources of allergy-friendly candy. (There are also lots of other good links/suggestions on http://foodallergies.about.com/, written by a mother of a child with multiple food allergies. )
