I usually just clean the tub out w/some 7th generation cleaner, before DS' bath every other night; and use some Soft Scrub on it once a week. We have a fiberglass tub/shower. But it's starting to look dingy, so I scraped at the wall w/my fingernail and realized it's coated w/ disgusting film. So what would you recommend I use on it?

I use baking soda to cut through soap scum. The Magic Eraser bathroom sponge has been recommended to me - I haven't tried it yet, though.

Thanks Smillow. I never thought of a magic eraser for the tub; but they do work wonders. And baking soda is a cheap & natural cleaner.

kaboom but it is not natural. I use it once in a while and then maintain with vinegar/baking soda.

We started using the Method daily cleaner based upon the request of our cleaning lady who thought it worked well at one of the other houses she cleans. We have been very happy with it. The reviews on amazon are mixed, apparently because some people do not like the smell (it is fine for me; much better than other bath cleaners IMO).

This Mrs. Meyer's daily cleaner gets good reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Mrs-Meyers-Clean-Day-Lavender/dp/B0021YVAQG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1300625989&sr=8-3
