I feel really like an out of touch old person- looks like its going to rain on Sat for DDs birthday and I want to be armed with some music on my Ipod in case we end up having a dance party. What would you download (I'm not to worked up about lyrics, just want to know what they're all listening to at the moment).
Is my Ipod about to be taken over by Justin Beiber and Katy Perry, what ones are dancey.

Thanks

Lucy

We had a playlist at ds1's class party the other day. These were the hits:
Dynamite by Taio Cruz
Fireflies by Owl City
anything by the Black Eyed Peas

I know she likes-

*California Gurls by Katy Perry
*Firework by Katy Perry
*Baby by Justin Beiber
*Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus
*Tik Tok by Ke$ha
*I've got a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night (title?)

What I want to know is how you have been able to avoid knowing all the popular songs if you have an 8yo dd. :rotflmao: That is just about all I hear in my house and in the car and even now, find myself listening to their music when they're not in the car.

In addition to those already listed:

I Like It - Enrique Iglesias
Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars
Higher - Taio Cruz
Forget You - Ce-Lo Green
Gonna Get This - Hannah Montana
Never Say Never & Somebody to Love - Justin Bieber
Love Story & You Belong with Me - Taylor Swift
Come Down with Love & Dance Forever - Allstar Weekend

I second all of the above, those are the ones I'd list too.

Thanks everyone that's great. As for how I'm so out of touch- in the car we got as far as Love Story and Taylor Swift in my modern music education, and then we switched to Harry Potter on CD, we're up to Book 6 now :)
I guess DD will be back in control of the music once we've finished Book 7 !!

:yeahthat:

Off the top of my head, my DDs like:

Hey Ya - Outkast
That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne
Pool Party - The Aqua Bats

They also like some older songs that *I* liked in elementary and jr high, like:

Walk Like an Egyptian
Iko Iko
Walking on Sunshine
Footloose
