DD #2's B-Day is coming up so I bought some invitations since the party place we're having it at didn't provide any.

On the invitation itself are the following lines (after the big "You're Invited" header):

For:
Date:
Time:
Place:
Given By:
RSVP to:

Now, I should know this mind you, but someone else saw it a different way and asked a question so it has me all confused and I'm drawing a blank and doubting myself.

So how would you fill out this invitation next to the words "For" and "Given By?"

For: (Name of Guest or B-Day DD's Name)
Given By: (Name of DD or My Name Since I'm Paying For It)

Seems like a silly question to ask, but if anyone would know, it's this board. LOL.

Thanks!

This is what I would assume--

"For" is the guest of honor.

"Given by" would be the thrower of the party.

For instance:

For: Katie Smith's 1st birthday

Given by: Michelle and Tom Smith

To hedge your bets, for an informal kid party I think it's fine to say 'given by (kid's name) and her family!'
