DD has very dry, thin, brittle hair that breaks easily. We've been using California Baby for ages, because I like the "safeness" of it. i.e. no chemicals, etc to worry about and relatively safe on the Skin Deep database.

So, are there any suggestions out there to help make that hair less dry and brittle? Any "safe" conditioners or shampoos out there that would help her hair? Would prefer something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, if possible.

Thanks!

Just a thought...could there be an underlying medical issue to make her have such brittle hair? May be worth a quick call to your Ped.

:yeahthat: I would also imagine that the frequency of shampooing rather than what shampoo you use is important. Shampooing less frequently may help with the dryness.

Don't believe that it's an underlying medical condition since thin, dry hair runs in my DH's side of the family. BUT, I will ask the ped. Are there any specific medical conditions that I shold be worried about? She has seasonal allergies, but no other symptoms that we've noticed.

Thanks!

I shampoo her hair twice a week so don't believe the frequency is the problem. Her hair has gotten healthier with age, just not as nice as my older DD's.

Thanks!
