My boys are 5 and 6 and I am seriously considering putting bibs on them. Does anyone else put bibs on their older kids? I wouldn't do it when other people are around, but when it's just family, I think I might subject them to it. They're obviously not as messy as when they were toddlers, but they do seem to spill food or drink on their shirts at least once per meal. Does anyone know of a brand that would work for older kids? I used to love Silly Billyz bibs, but I think they're too small. Thanks!

ETA: Does anyone who has Bumkins Junior bibs know whether they would fit older kids?

My daughter wears an adult small t-shirt. It is very easy to put on and covers her completely.

My 3 year old wears the Bumkins Super Bib. I think the Junior Bib has little arm holes (but not positive) and I wonder if those might be too tight. The LS Bumkins are getting too tight on my smallish sized 3 year old DD.
What about the LS art smocks they sell at Ikea - my big for her age 7 year old can still wear those. Or other art smocks - see link below.
My 7 year old wears a smock (that was homemade for me) at my mom's for holidays when she is dressed up - or for art projects. It is easier to put on than a t-shirt and looks cute (ours has trim and embroidery and such) and if you sew at all could easily be made in a boy style too. Here is a pick of one to give you an idea of style but ours is made from fabric: http://www.amazon.com/Crayola-Art-Smock/dp/B00005BZM6.

My almost 3 yo DD has been using the Bumkins SuperBibs but they're pretty useless now in terms of coverage, esp of her lap. Just saw these on the Bumkins site and may give them a try:
JuniorBib: http://www.bumkins.com/junior-bib.html (5 inches longer than SuperBib)
Supersized SuperBib http://www.bumkins.com/supersize-superbib.html (this one kind of cracks me up, but how nice to everything clean!)

As kids we always wore aprons for meals at my grandparents house. I think at home we just dealt with the spills. I have been known to put one of Daddy's undershirts over their clothes for messy meals.

None of the Bumkins bibs fit DD1 anymore - I know, since I've tried having her wear one hoping that DD2 would wear a bib, too! When they help in the kitchen, or do "messy" art, they wear Bumkins aprons (child size for DD1, and toddler size for DD2). Otherwise, I just buy lots and lots of Zout!
