I have been trying to make a concerted effort to pack lunch. Can anyone give me any packing salad for lunch tips? I used a snapware container today and the tiny bit of dressing I used leaked out all over my lunch bag. So first, what container can I use? Thanks.

I don't know if this will help or not, but your post reminded me of an email tip from Martha Stewart that I received on Sunday. Here's the link: http://www.marthastewart.com/goodthings/how-to-avoid-soggy-salads?xsc=eml_org_2011_03_20

I keep a bottle of salad dressing at work, is that an option?

I work in an office with refridgerators, so I'd just take the dressing bottle with me (and put that in a ziplock for transport).

I use "Lock n Lock" brand containers and never have problems with leaking. I know it looks a lot like snapware, but it seals better. It is sometimes hard to find "Lock n Lock" and it is more expensive, but the seal is really good.

My daughter frequently takes cereal for lunch and comes home with soggy milk cereal remains. Sometimes the lunch box gets neglected and we find the old cereal "bowl" days later. No milk or odor escapes, until you release the seal. I am really amazed.

This site has a lot of options:

I hope you find something that works for you.

I bought several 1oz plastic containers at a Japanese dollar store that is no longer online. They are just the right size for salad dressings.

they look like these tupperware ones only they are all clear.

I put my salad in a big container and put the salad dressing in the small container then, place it in the larger container for safe keeping.

I love Lock & Lock brand! I agree they are the best compared to other brands.

OP, I bought these little containers from The Container Store, specifically because I was sick of my containers leaking.
