DD has recently become enamored (um, slightly obsessed) with her first movie, Toy Story (1). We went away to visit a friend with 3 older boys and they watched it a few times while we were there, and she became completely hooked.

I casually mentioned the other day that, since it was almost time for DD to "send her binkies to the babies," maybe when she did so, she could get a Buzz and Woody toy (for context, for a while now I've been trying to acclimate DD to the idea that it's almost time to give up her pacifier, which she only uses to sleep, and let's just say she has NOT been enthusiastic about it. I was hoping to get it gone before my new baby arrives early June).

Well, I have never seen DD so excited before - she has proudly proclaimed that she doesn't need her binky anymore and she's ready to send them away

So, I want to seize this opportunity and I was looking at Toy Story toys and was a bit overwhelmed. Any suggestions for a fun toy that has Buzz and Woody, for preschoolers (3-5)? I was hoping for some sort of playset with these 2 figures and maybe some other characters, but am having a hard time sorting through what's out there, and what's good/not good/junk, etc. She's not really adept with or into Legos or Duplos so I don't think that'll work. Any ideas? TIA!

How much are you looking to spend? My kids have the talking Woody, Jesise and Buzz dolls from the Disney store, I got them for $15 each before Christmas (Buzz was a little more, maybe $20)

I can't seem to find the Woody version online, but they do carry him in the stores.

Imaginext has a Toy Story playset that comes with the Buzz figure

you would have to buy Woody seperately

here are all the items they offer in the collection

We love the Imaginext line of toys!

I second the Imaginext line for that age! FYI you can only buy the Toy Story Imaginext line at Fisher Price online or at Toys R Us I believe--I don't think they carry it at Target or Walmart.

My son is a total TS fanatic. DD (who is almost 3) loves to steal his TS toys to play with. Around here the ones that are the most popular are the ones that are like the movie version. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3943891 and http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3544813

This is a weird recommendation, but DS2 has Toy Story dive sticks and loves them. He does bring them in the tub, too :). DD bought them for him at the Santa Shop this year.

Target has them, too.
