Another swingset question. :rolleye0014: We have a budget for a decent set, but nothing extravagant. Looking at a basic platform with a slide, rock wall, two swings and the glider swing, and a step ladder. Don't really want the monkey bars. Just our two girls and possibly a couple cousins will be on it-mostly our girls though so we don't something huge. Is that enough for entertainment you think?

The swings, tire swing, slide, and chain link ladder get the most use.

Swings and platform. Our swing beam is 8.5 feet high and they can swing pretty high. DS1 and DD will swing for a long time. They like to get up on the platform and pretend it's various things.

you don't need the monkey bars... they are just an accident (broken arm) waiting to happen anyways!

Ours like the fort, the slide and the swings

the trapeze bar
rock climbing wall and
forts (we have two...one for each kid:) )

They play on it year round now...even in the snow.

A high swing bean is a big plus because they can really swing high and I think it increases the longevity of your set. My kids mainly use the swings. They do go up on the platform/fort area a lot but mostly use the ladder to get there. The chain link ladder and rock wall rarely get used and the novelty wore off pretty fast. The tire swing only gets used when they have friends over whereas they are literally on the swings EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
