I'm going to start wearing them preemptively. My mom has terrible varicose veins and while I don't technically have any YET I DO have some spider veins. Also, I have had terrible edema with both pregnancies and I'm looking forward to averting that!

I've done a little bit of research and have searched some threads here. I feel like I'll benefit most from full length medical grade maternity hose. One poster recommended 15-20 weight and that sounds like a good start. Anyone have any luck finding any without cut out toes to be able to wear sandals or will that not work for medical grade?

TIA,

Jen

Talk to your OB. Mine wrote me a script for mine and suggested which type. My insurance covered 90%

I had horrible vvs with my second pregnancy and bought Jobst 15-20 mm medium grade thigh high stockings online. They took forever to get in and out of! I wore them maybe 3-4 times bc of the hassle and my sensory issues wearing them (non breathable). But when I wore them, they *did* help.
