Question about Marathon material

I am planning on getting a Marathon 70 for my 13 month old. I am debating between the Waverly pattern (brown/black) and the Alliston pattern (pink dots). The Allison pattern looks softer. The Waverly pattern would closer match the Britax Frontier 85 that I have for my 5 year old in the Canyon pattern.

We live in Texas, so heat is an issue. I haven't been able to find the Waverly pattern IRL. Does it feel like the Onyx patter? Would the Allison pattern be too hot and not breathable? Is one easier to clean than the other? I had the kind of material on the Allison on a Decathalon my DD1 used to have. It seemed to get dirty fast.

I had the same issue when I was buying a Boulevard a couple months ago. I ended up with the Cowmooflage because it was the only fabric I could definitely tell was the soft velour and not the stiffer fabric I had seen on the Waverly, which looked like it would get hotter. Sorry I don't have the exact answer you are looking for, but hopefully this helps!
