If you have a Radio Flyer walker wagon...

...can you confirm that the wooden railings around the wagon are not fastened to the wagon and can be easily removed from the slots? DH set ours up yesterday, much to both DDs delight - but the 10 month old's favorite game is pulling the railings out of their slots. I don't get why they would be built like this. What am I missing?

Yes, it drove me crazy with DS1. His favorite activity was to pull them all out. DS2 doesn't do it as much.

Ours are out and stored under a trunk right now. The "favorite activity" must have been mine (finding and reinstalling them after playtime daily) so I just removed them for DS2.

I also questioned why they come out. A friend had one for her son many years ago (10) and they were permanent. I was surprised how easily they came out. My little guy loved taking them out, but doesn't do it very often anymore.
