DS is having a P&F party in two months so I'm trying to find some cute favors in the mean time to spread out the cost. I would love a thing that I could send home like a little science kit that would be less than $5/guest. A small game would also be good. I want to avoid the usual BOC stuff. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

ETA: The party will have boys and girls so gender neutral would be appreciated.

I would suggest instant snow. My boys LOVED it when we did it after xmas. They were 6.5 and almost 2 at the time.

here is the official website - http://www.instasnow.com/ I know I only bought a test tube size but I don't see that on their site now. Maybe you can buy a big container and portion it out and print some labels with instructions!

Here are some other science party ideas!! http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/category/party-planning

These items were a hit at our school too - http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/product/color-changing-uv-beads

Hope those help!

Thanks for the great site!!!! Lots of great ideas. We are having the party at a local kids science museum so the activities are pretty much taken care of ;) I LOVE the snow idea, I was looking around the site and found this http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/product/insta-snow-holiday-blister-card which is what I think you were talking about. They look great!!!! How much fun will it be to have snow in summer :jammin: Thanks so much!!!

Any other great ideas out there?

Looking at the site pp posted I came across a couple other things and I would love to hear feed back on either Astronaut Ice Cream http://www.astronauticecreamshop.com/index.php?crn=205&rn=392&action=show_detail or Galactic Putty http://www.officeplayground.com/Mini-Galactic-Putty-P782.aspx Do either of these fall under BOC? Which would you rather find in your child's favor bag?
Thanks for your input

What about a Phineas and Ferb shirt from Old Navy? Our neighbor's
son had one on yesterday. I have no idea on the cost of the shirt
but maybe there are some Old Navy coupons out there?

Just a random thought!

That's a cute idea. We are going to invite all the kids from DS's class, do you think the girls would like it?

We had a P&F bday for DS and we gave out P&F books as favors. We only had a few kids at the party (DS is only 2) but I liked that I could get "picture-type" books for the little ones and chapter books for the two older kids.

Yes, I think the girls would like it too! One of the other neighbor
girls saw the shirt and she wanted one too. (This was at the
bus stop the other day.)

I was thinking of doing that too

Corie,
I didn't see them online, I'll have to go to the store and see how much they are. Too bad I didn't think of this earlier, JCPenney had some LS Ts for $2.50. I bought one for DS for next fall.
