Has anyone ever gone for a variance for an addition? Or to the zoning board?
We're considering adding an MBR Suite for my mom who is in a wheelchair but it would put us at 42% of land/use ratio, the max is 30%. Anything over 30% we would need to use a land-use attorney, go before the board, notify our neighbors within 200 yards, etc.
We're thinking of making our deck 1/2 the size and to also rip up our driveway (for the time being) to get around it and also make the addition 4 feet smaller just to get to the 30%.
Anyone here a land-use attorney?!
