I was just wondering if you have a set of eggs for each kid or can the kids share them? I tried to tell from the Amazon photos if there were stickers in the eggs or candy or anything else the kids would each want one of, but I couldn't tell.

So, do you just have one set for your family or do you have a set for each child in your family?

TIA!

You would only need one set (unless they have changed alot). Each egg holds something that can be passed around while you discuss its significance.

Yeah, its essentially a story told using props. My 4 year loved them last year and could tell you the meaning of each item. She looked at it several times over the year. I need to replace them because a few of the items are gone....but its such a neat way to tell the story of Christ.

We have one set for the family. I let the kids take turns opening the egg we are discussing that day.

our Christian daycare does it and has one set per class IIRC. They take turns opening one and then pass it around

Can you find these at most Christian book stores or only online?

We only have one set and it is just fine. Each egg holds one object (or set, like coins) to symbolize a part of the story.

Sarah, we got our set from Lifeway, but I imagine most Christian bookstores would carry it. We absolutely love them and highly recommend.

Has anyone bought one of the books that go with these? Does anyone have one that they would recommend.

So, we just got the eggs in the mail- it looks great.

How do you read/open them? One a day? All at once?
Trying to figure out how to do it...

We did them all at once, and the girls wanted to do it over and over. But I really like the idea of one a day also and trying to talk about it a bit more, maybe at dinner time or something. Some of them are of course, intense and sad though. One egg holds the whip, for instance, and another holds the crown of thorns. So if you do it little by little just be aware that may come up until you reach the joy of the last egg which helps to explain why Jesus allowed himself to go through all of it, ykwim?

Not sure what specific objects/bible refs are in the Amazon set, but we just made these this weekend.
