Here's my sob story.

The kids have been getting a gift subscription to the magazine Wild Animal Baby for the past few years from my parents. On the back of each issue, there is a nice illustration of an animal that says, for example "A is for Aardvark". Each month, the next letter in the alphabet is featured. They're very cute. I have been painstakingly cutting out each picture and saving them, intending to hang them in the playroom when I had the full alphabet (or close to it).

I have a few square picture frames from IKEA from about 3 years ago and planned to get more of them. I now have 24 letters (close enough, right?) I went back to buy more frames, and guess what? They're GONE. I am devastated! Tons of cute 4x6 frames, but no square ones!

So, has anyone seen square frames for cheap anywhere recently? The pictures are approx. 5"x5", and I'd like to keep it under $2 per frame, since I need so many of them.

TIA for any help!!

Wow, that website has every imaginable frame, in every size and color! So cool! The prices are really reasonable too, although still not quite low enough for my project... I bookmarked it for other ideas though. They have a closeout page, but it looks like you don't know exactly what you'll get. I'm still tempted.

I think I remember seeing some in the dollar spot a while ago, now that you mention it. I could wait until after the Easter stuff is gone, to see if they get more in.

Thanks for the ideas!

I'd check walmart & believe it or not the dollar store usually has some.

Maybe I should try laminating them and using one of these:

I do need to check a few more dollar stores - I looked at the big one nearby and then gave up. There are at least a couple other ones I can try.

Thanks for the ideas!

I'd check IKEA or Walmart.
