Looking for help: Best booster seats for traveling?

We're going to be making a number of trips via plane this spring/summer w/my two girls (age 4/40lbs & age 6/42 lbs), and I really don't want to take their huge Britax boulevard car seats. Any recommendations on safe/compact booster seats that easily install - since we'll be renting cars on all these trips?

Have you considered Evenflo Maestros? If your daughters are harnessed in Boulevards right now, a Maestro would be a lightweight seat that will still allow them to be in a 5-pt harness and then convert to a high-back booster in the future. They're affordable for seats of this type, too.
