True Fit help?

My True Fit is here and my manual is at home and I can't get to it for a couple more weeks. Can someone help me with a quick question? Dolly is getting close to the top of the smaller section of the seat (with out the extra top part IYKWIM). The top section of the seat is at home too, so I'd like to buy a little more time in the seat until we get home. Can I take out the little extra padded seat thingy? Is that safe?

According to the TFP manual: Yes. The height limit is under the line (and less than 22lbs) without the infant padding. FYI I think compass has PDF manuals on thier website.
