I am looking to purchase some new washclothes, specifically to wipe DS after (and during) his mealtime. He is 8 months old so it's a major mess and probably will be for some time. I have some washclothes that I received as a gift from Carters a few years ago. They were fine but food residue seemed to stay on it even after putting them in the laundry. I don't want to use them to wipe DS's face if there are stuff stuck on it. Does anyone have any recommendation that would be easy to clean?

I use the really thin Target (Circo brand) washcloths for that purpose. They're something like 5 for $3 and I haven't noticed any food residue on them other than the occasional stains from stuff like carrots.

I agree..for after meals, the thinner the better. I bought gerber organic washcloths at some point....they are super thin and work well to get off all the sauces and stuck-ons.
