I would not say I'm a "skilled" Scrapbooker, but def enjoy doing it. Everything I currently have can fit in a Zippered tote (from some event?) and is about 24 in X 24 in (length, height).

I've got: 1 album, little bit of paper, scissors, markers, glue etc, 2 corner punchers, paper trimmer (lg), stickers, some ribbon.

I'm thinking about buying some more supplies and am wondering if I need an all out "craft center". :)

I was thinking this (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-3-Drawer-Medium-Cart-Teal-Thunder-Set-of-2/15136525)

What do you all do?

This is my stuff:

Obviously, not all of it is scrapbooking. There are some sewing things, and general craft stuff in there as well.

I started out with a single crate, upgraded to Sterlite, but eventually even that wouldn't contain it all.

WOW JTsmom that is an awesome craft room!!!

i just have one little corner in our game room upstairs. it's just an Ikea desk & chair, with an Elfa system holding those little organization cubes from Michael's, plus those little plastic drawers (Sterilite, i think)..here is a pic

the cool thing about Elfa is that i could rearrange the shelves whenever if i wanted to

in the ikea desk i store a lot of stuff too. i have a Crop in Style binder to organize stickers, etc

Ah, that Expedit picture is making me excited. I am in the middle of re-organizing my craft area in our playroom w/Expedit. It is 2 inches too wide so DH is hacking it down to make it fit, and I am inpatient and nesting. Ultimately I'll have a corner w/ a 4x4 expedite stacked with a 2x2 Expedit, the Expedit desk on the side, and another 2x2 Expedit at the end of the desk. There are also 3 wall shelves over the desk. Currently I have all my stuff on the wall shelves and in a Trofast tower next to a desk. The new setup will hold all of my crafting + paper scrapbooking stuff as well as various other kid/toy stuff. I actually do mostly digital scrapbooking now which takes up much less space, but still have all my paper materials and use them occasionally.

To the OP: I started with a crate-sized carrier, added another crate or two, got to where I am now, and switched to digital. I'd say what you need depends on the space you have available and what other crafty-type activities you do. You will likely fill whatever space you have with materials if you have the budget. If you have fixed area, then something more immobile and multi-purpose like shelving may be a better investment than the cart. However if you are moving your stuff around the house a lot or need to push it out of site, the cart may make sense. I could still probably fit all my paper scrapbooking stuff in that cart, but it would be limiting because I couldn't fit anything else.
