Please help me find maternity shorts and capris that don't have that full panel attached. I am only 5 months along and would really prefer something other than a full panel over my not-yet-so-big belly.
I'm starting to outgrow my non-maternity clothes and shopping is getting me very frustrated :(
Even when I was 9 months along w/ dd1 I didn't wear the full panel very often so maybe it's just not my style.

I didn't have any shorts with the panel. I shopped at Gap Maternity, Ann Taylor Loft Maternity (online, but maybe it's not around any more?) and Target for my gear. It seemed like Motherhood Maternity (which sucks) loved that panel.

I had forgotten about ATL. I'll have to give them another look. I did see a pair of demin shorts at Target, but the demin just wasn't my style... lots of little tears and rips in them. Otherwise they all had the panel.

I saw some at ON today without the panel (but the bottoms were tapered too much for my taste). I have some from Kohls that don't have it either.

No help but I just wanted to say I HATED the full panel bottoms. I always ended up pushing it under my belly. I remember the pants/shorts I got from ON only had the band, not the panel.

When I was expecting DS1 (seven years ago) most of the maternity shorts either had the full panel (which I hated...who wants an extra layer of polyester over the belly when it's 90 degrees?) or were a drawstring style, which never seemed to stay up.

Two years later, I was able to find more shorts with the low-rise "demi" panel, which I found much more comfortable, and when I was pregnant with DS3 (my third summer boy) those full-panels seemed to have all but disappeared. So I was surprised to see so many of them as I looked online today

Old Navy has a few styles with the lower demi panel...

The first two have a shorter (4") inseam. Not sure how much leg you are comfortable showing...

I had ones from Target very similar to this...but I looked on their website and didn't see them now.

If you like longer shorts...

Gap had a few styles as well...

Thanks for the links. I was planning to pick up the ones from JCP sometime this week. I did just order some from Old Navy so they'll be coming soon to give them a try. I guess I just started freaking out since it's nearly 100 here already and I had no shorts to wear this past weekend :(
The Kohls in my area always seem to have the worst selection so I haven't had much luck there are all.

Gap and Old Navy seemed to have the most options without the panel when I was shopping 2 years ago...

I've been able to find 1 pair of shorts at JCP and the capris I ordered from Old Navy also work well. I tried to go back today and order more from Old Navy and now the size I need in the other colors are already sold out :(

I at least have some hope again... plus I ordered 3 of those fold over $10 skirts from Old Navy so now I have at least 1 weeks worth of bottoms to get me through until laundry every weekend :)

I usually find them at Old Navy. Last pregnancy I got lucky at Kohl's and found dress pants w/o the panel. But I've been less lucky there this time around, maybe I'm more picky now because I already have some things.

I wish I didn't have to wear full panel shorts. Both my pregnancies my boys have sat so low the half panels were painful. It put too much pressure on their heads and made me feel squished. Even bigger sizes didn't help. I've started to wear more dresses and skirts this time...much more comfortable!

Gap seems to have the most versatility for panel length. But I know Target has cute cheap stuff as well.

This is funny to me because I actively court "the full panel" while pregnant! The other stuff just seems to fall down/cut in all the wrong places!

I do have a pair of jeans from Gap with a demi panel that I like quite a lot! Hope you find what you are looking for!
