For a while now, we have been buying the six pack of demi baguettes from Costco and freezing them. They are just the right size for our family and very cheap, I think $4.49. That is hard to beat here. They freeze well with no extra pains other than a ziploc bag. I was using gallon ziplocs but they kept getting holes, so now I reuse the ziplocs from the flour tortillas we buy. Up to two baguettes fit in these ziplocs! So cheap, good, "easy" bread using "free" recycled ziplocs.
Maybe one day I will make my own bread, but for now this works very well for us!
