I'm looking for a 3 or 4 compartment hamper. Anyone have one that they love?

TIA.

We have 3 of these in our laundry room...

One for DD's clothes and 2 for ours. They are a nice size and are easily wiped clean. Oh and they are cheap lol. If we were more organized, I would actually sort darks and lights in them. But as they are, we just use them for containment.

I have three laundry baskets in the upstairs hallway and everyone in the family has figured out the whites/colors/darks concept. :)

So, in Target stores (like last week even) they have one like this http://www.target.com/Neu-Home-3-Section-Laundry-Sorter/dp/B000TFKMJA/ref=huc_ic_1_pn but it has an ironing board top on it. LOVE, love, love it! DH likes to take the bags out and carry them down our narrow hallway. I like to pile stuff up on the ironing board top.

but without the hanging bar. Love it...amazingly sturdy.

We have this one and I love having a hanging bar and the shelf on top.

The hanging bar is great for hanging clothes right of the dryer to keep them from getting wrinkled and the shelf is great for storing stuff. In our last house we didn't have an actual laundry room, so all our laundry detergent and products were stored up on the shelf. In our new house, we now have a laundry room with lots of cabinets for our laundry supplies, but I use the shelf to store DS2's inflatable duck tub when not in use. My only complaint is that the fabric compartments are attached to the metal frame with cloth loops and a few of the loops have detached already. Probably my fault since I'm ALWAYS behind on laundry and have like 2 loads stuffed in each compartment at all times. I think I'll look into a sorter with compartments attached to the frame with metal hooks or fasteners, but I'd be sad to give up my shelf.

i love the ones with the hanging bar. i think those would be great to have in the laundry room. however i'm looking for something to keep in my room.

i found these that look like they will do the job at a reasonable cost:

i like that this one has 4 sections and it is so inexpensive, but i'm worried that it might be poor quality:

I have one similar to this. I love that the bags are removable, so I just grab one of the bags and take it to the laundry room. I sort them as handwash, dark, light.

All of the ones with 3 compartments were too small for our needs (that I saw) so we ended up buying 3 of the pop-up style hampers... whites go in the white one, work clothes go in the black ones and everyday jeans etc go in the blue one. The color system works well for us and the pop-up hampers dont take up much room.

Space was an issue for me and I ended up with this one. Its not perfect but it adjusts to fit in the space I had for it. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=17828878&RN=1014&

I needed three containers that were as big and narrow as possible to fit closely together in limited space. I didn't want a laundry sorter made of fabric, since we'd collapsed those in the past and they are usually too small. Plus, I preferred for each one to be pulled out individually. Target, Walmart and the like all had more tapered plastic hampers, usually with heavy reinforcing around the top, which meant there was a lot of wasted space between each hamper.

I finally found some good-for-my-purposes plastic hampers at off-discount stores. I've seen mine at Family Dollar, Big Lots/Odd Lots, and a cheap cheap discount store called Rose's. So, if Sterilite and the typical discount stores don't work for you, look at the cheaper discount stores. They are not as well-made, but have not broken in the 5+ years I've been using them.
