Boy short tankini bottoms at Lands End

Has any bought the swim shorts for girls at Lands End in theboy short style? They have belt loops and a little belt, see

I don't know what to think of them. They are pretty skimpy and somehow seem to emphasize every curve, every butt cheek all the more. I don't quite get how that can be when they cover more than a bikini bottom, or even more than the lower half of a one piece. I am trying to match a swim shirt with that lilac shade of purple, which is hard to do, and these shorts are I good match. But I am not sure I think these swim shirts are decent on either of my girls. I bought one and two sizes up for DD2, and both are just tight tight tight and short short short.

This year's similar bikini bottoms are getting reamed online for running very small and being very skimpy, something I concur with. I started with those and rejected them, then turned to the swim shirts.

We have not tried the boy short bottoms in your link. However, we have these http://www.landsend.com/pp/TuglessTankiniShirredBottom~217954_1187.html?bcc=y&action=order_more&sku_0=::IX2&CM_MERCH=IDX_Girls-_-Swim-_-ShopbySilhouette-_-SwimBottoms&origin=index, and they fit well. We sized up one size and have not had any issues with coverage.

I do agree, though, that their swimwear is running weird this year. We had to buy the top to the bottoms I linked in slim (one DD wears slim, one does not), because the regular sizes had a lot of extra fabric under the arms.
