Saw this contest in the NY Times and thought it was cute:
Share Six Words About Your Mother (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/05/03/health/20110503-mother-in-six-words.html?hp)
"Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Well blog is teaming up with Smith Magazine and the Six Word Memoir Project to create a new set of six word “Momoirs.” Tell us about your mother, someone else’s mother or motherhood in general in just six words. For contest details and prize rules, see “Share Six Words About Your Mother” on the Well blog. (http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/05/04/share-six-words-about-your-mother/)
Can you sum up your mother in just six words?
To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Well blog has teamed up with Smith magazine and the Six Word Memoir Project (http://www.smithmag.net/sixwords/) to create a new set of six-word “Momoirs.”
The challenge is to explain your mother, someone else’s mother or motherhood in general in just six words. Here are some examples:
A sake mom, not soccer mom.
In meeting. Binky in suit pocket.
Channeling June Cleaver without the pearls.
So many socks, so little time.
Fired therapist. One mother is enough.
Sometimes mom needs a time out.
Suffered miscarriage. Daughter offered her doll."
How about it? Describe your mother, someone else's mother, your experience with being a mom, or motherhood in general in six words.
My mom:
How did she do it all?
Being a mom:
So tired, yet still want another!
Motherhood:
Squeezy hugs, kisses make sacrifices worthwhile.
