tinker toys?

anyone know where I can get PLASTIC tinker toys other than the $50 set on amazon? My mother has the wooden ones and they break all the time and get very splintery....

Not Tinker Toys but Superstructs are similar and plastic.

Really? Are your mom's the brand name tinkertoys? We've had ours for a few years and none have every broken or become splintery. I think I've seen plastic tinkertoys at TRU.

We bought large used lots on ebay, pretty cheaply. Plastic Tinkertoys were the first toys my DS truly LOVED.
