Please recommend summer sandals for your new walker

I'm looking for a pair of everyday sandals for my DD who is just barely starting to walk... I had been planning on getting white sandals that could go with anything but after seeing how much white tends to scuff up now I'm looking for something like silver or brown that might wear better.

Anyone have suggestions? I love the Umis, Rileyroos and Pedipeds.

We used these white Pedipeds when DD just started to walk. They were really cute (if you want white). They had soft bottoms. I'm sure there is a new style for this year.

I would go with red or brown. DD1 didn't walk the summer she was 1 so I ended up not buying her any so I don't really know what works well, although Crocs were great for helping her learn to walk. We've had great luck with Pedipeds for DD1, and then once she was 2 we started getting her Salt Water Sandals (the ones with the poly soft sole).

We had pink and white last summer and they held up well. The leather is buttery soft. Last year we stocked up on SKR during a big sale so DD2 has a nice collection to choose from this year. We live in a warm climate where DDs where sandals most of the year, so we do not mind investing in a few pair.

My toddler has the SKR Hillary sandals in purple! They are fabulous!

We have white pedipeds in a mary jane style that DD1 wore for a summer and now DD2 is wearing. The white hasn't scuffed and the dirt wipes off really well with a damp cloth or baby wipe. I actually just ordered a pediped go grip sandal in white for DD2 who is outgrowing the mary janes. Given how well those held up I didn't hesitate to order another white shoe from them.

Dd's first sandals were a white from Stride Rite. I made sure they were closed toe so she didn't hurt them if she fell, and the white was easy to keep clean.

We have the Pediped Sam sneakers and they are white on the ends and they've gotten quite scuffed up near the toes from where she crawls and drags the toes. That's one of the reasons why I've been thinking of avoiding white with her next pair. (though I suppose she won't be crawling much longer) With that being said I sure do love Pedipeds!

We ended up ordering these and the SKR Hillary sandals... I really only need one pair and I think I'm going to go with the silver pedipeds because they are just sooo cute. The silver isn't too over the top and I'm thinking they'll match just about anything and shouldn't scuff up like white might. (when she crawls)

Sorry for missing your question. DD2's held up very well. Nonetheless, we find it helpful to have a couple pair, 1 for beating up, 1 for nicer occassions. DD2 is a shoe girl, and so she has several to choose from.
