I used to find casual, cotton, non-spaghetti strap dresses at old navy for just wearing around the house on weekdays or even weekends.

Is there anything out there like this anymore?

This is the kind of thing I am looking for
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=68334&vid=1&pid=839442&scid=839442022

I would probably just get that one but the reviews are not great.

I work from home and want some dresses to go with my t-shirts and pants/shorts uniform.
I don't want to spend alot as most days, nobody besides my family and our nanny ever even see me!

Cute dress for summer. Another option would be to do the ON fold over skirts and fitted T. Target also does a version of the ON cotton skirt. I've seen/gotten cotton casual, knee length dresses at TJMax/Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack from Max Studio for $30-$40. A little dressier than the ones you posted, but very cute and comfy

I bought a few of these from Kohls:

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/dresses/day/PRD~812749/SONOMA+life+++style+Floral+Babydoll+Tank+Dress.jsp

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/dresses/day/PRD~720976/SONOMA+life+++style+Medallion+Babydoll+Dress.jsp

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/dresses/day/PRD~812765/SONOMA+life+++style+Paisley+Babydoll+Tank+Dress.js p

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/dresses/day/PRD~812742/SONOMA+life+++style+Scroll+Babydoll+Tank+Dress.jsp

The quality is ho-hum (I received 2 defective ones from the internet that I had to exchange at the store), but they're simple and easy. Beware if you are tall, however - they hit my knee and I'm only 5'1".

I like the paisley one from Kohl's you posted. I had no idea Kohl's had so many casual dresses.

Have you tried H&M or Target?

Garnet Hill has some cute cap sleeved dresses but they're not so cheap: http://www.garnethill.com/womens-fashion/dresses/knit-dresses/

I really like this one, should have bought when Loft was offering 30% off dresses but I couldn't find a FS code. $50 is way overpriced, I tried it on in-store but needed another size. Even $35 is probably overpriced. But it's CUTE and comfy. Now I'm probably going to have to pay full price if I want it, GAG!!

These are also cute (and overpriced) IMO:

This dress at ATL looks almost identical to the old navy one. There are a lot of choices there that fit the general criteria: http://www.anntaylorloft.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=32683&N=1200007&categoryId=211&pCategoryId=3359&Ns=CATEGORY_SEQ_211&Nty=1&No=7&loc=TN&defaultColor=Aqua%20Tone&defaultSizeType=Regular

Ooh I really like those Garnet Hill ones. But $148? Gah!
I do have a gift card to Ann Taylor Loft actually!
They look a little short in the picture but there is one right by my house so I could try them on relatively easily.

Don't forget the 50% off one full price ON item coupon someone just posted - it's only good for a couple of days, though.

Cute dress. You might also want to check Anthropologie.

Do you have a Loft outlet nearby? I was there recently and they had a lot of cute/casual skirts and dresses that aren't available in the regular store. Great prices, too!

As PP mentioned, I totally forgot about Target. This one has been recommended by several people here: http://www.target.com/Merona-Tank-Dress-Front-Twist/dp/B004GNCZZU/ref=br_1_4?ie=UTF8&id=Merona%20Tank%20Dress%20Front%20Twist&node=1104830&searchSize=30&searchView=grid3&searchPage=2&sr=1-4&qid=1305250248&rh=&searchBinNameList=style_name%2Csleeve_type%2Ccolla r_style-bin%2Clifestyle-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchRank=salesrank&frombrowse=1

Comes in solid colors too. I think it may be poly.

This is more than I would normally spend, but it was $10 off in-store at Sears and I know that Lands End will last. Not much of a selection left online, but maybe you have a Sears nearby.

It looks sooooo much better IRL than online pics. I bought the black and navy and they are so comfy and flattering I would pay full price. They do run BIG though like many reviewers state, size down. I normally order 1x from LE plus sizes, I got a woman's regular size large, so nice for my ego too :tongue5:

Just wanted to say LOFT is having a Summer saving event tomorrow (sat 5/14) only, use code MAYSE514E for 30% off everything. So maybe I will be getting that dress, although no FS is still killing me.

Plus $25 gift card for every $50 spent.

Target's Merona line has cute comfy cotton jersey dresses for about $20 a pop

I just bought this dress in brown at Target yesterday. They had quite a few different knit dresses and several knit skirts. At this point my summer wardrobe consists of 4 summer dresses and 3 of the ON fold over skirts. I need dh to dig out the box of my summer capris and shorts from behind a pile of construction stuff in the unfinished room in the basement.

I went on a little spree at lunch and got the Target dress recommended here
http://www.target.com/Merona-Tank-Dress-Front-Twist/dp/B004GNCZZU/ref=br_1_4?ie=UTF8&id=Merona%20Tank%20Dress%20Front%20Twist&node=1104830&searchSize=30&searchView=grid3&searchPage=2&sr=1-4&qid=1305250248&rh=&searchBinNameList=style_name%2Csleeve_type%2Ccolla r_style-bin%2Clifestyle-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchRank=salesrank&frombrowse=1

It reminds me of the Pretty Woman dress! ;) I got the brown with white polka dots one. It was $20.

I also went to Old Navy and got the fold over skirt in brown, and a longer skirt they had. Used my Oprah coupon.
Then I got these two dresses online from home:
This one in gray
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?searchCID=68131&vid=1&pid=839456&scid=839456012

This one in black.
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?searchCID=68131&vid=1&pid=839441&scid=839441052

I went through ebates but then saw there was an extra 20% off coupon. :banghead:
oh well.

I also went to Loft and may pull the trigger tomorrow on a dress or two.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I really should try on that Target one, it's been recommended so many times here, and the price is right.

ETA: I just bought the Target dress today. I was able to go by myself for once, so I tried on a few things. I got it in black. The neckline is pretty low, IMO, so I may wear a tank under. Which is ok, b/c the back is a little bare for this girl who doesn't work out--ever. Looks like it will be nice and cool in the summer. I could totally see it with a cardy or jean jacket.

I was at the Loft outlet yesterday, and there were a ton of cute, casual dresses there. I bought a cute raspberry colored one! ;) If you have one nearby, it's definitely worth a look.

I just saw that this dress is going to be on sale for $40 during the REI sale 5/20-5/30. I think it's pretty cute.
