Lol - I was thinking about you today, arivecchi. DS1&2 and I went to the library for storytime this morning. The library hours were cut back so that they opened an hour later on Th-Sa. We had 15 min. to wait (next to the parking lot) and a couple frisky boys w/o a stroller....so we went hiking on one of 4-5 nature trails from our library. I was wearing http://www.onlineshoes.com/womens-merrell-sundial-cross-pf_id28058 and although I love them, they were just not the right thing to be wearing on the side of a hill. I thought, "Now what would arivecchi do if she found herself with her 2 boys in the woods on a random Thurs. morning. Would she just wear her cute shoes and deal with it, or would she know that on days she may end up in the woods, different footwear might be required?"

It only shows the 40 Narrow :( Those didn't work for my foot at the store today (I tried because I'm desperate.)
The 2nd website was offered up to me earlier. When you click on "about us" or whatever, it says Shanghai. I'm not too comfortable ordering from an unknown website based in China. DH would not be happy with me.

IIRC someone posted these here but was looking for another shoe in the same color b/c they thought this one was too high. These are the most awesome, comfortable high-ish wedge out of my now 3 pairs! The base of the wedge is a bit wider than most, plus the sole is super padded, and I think both factor into the comfort. I wore them walking all over to my visit to Atlanta last weekend, and they were super comfy. I think I am going to buy them in a second color! :D

I love those...do they have good arch support? I think the shoe is fairly flat from what I remember. They are the comfiest sandals that I have ever tried though and Zappos has free returns! hint hint! :wink2:

In terms of general guidelines, I think you could wear them with any neutral outfit, as the red (or really any bright color) shoe would make the outfit pop. I tend to wear bright shoes when they don't really match anything else in my outfit. For example, if I'm wearing a red top with jeans, I wouldn't wear red shoes but I might wear orange, brown, black, or green shoes. If I'm wearing a black, silver, orange, green, or blue top with jeans, I might wear red shoes.

Thanks! I've just never felt confident with colored-shoe pairings - hence I guess why I have some cute shoes but they are nearly all neutral!

I do wear boots in the summer sometimes..not like knee high black boots with black jeans tucked in but more like a suede ankle bootie with a pair of dressy silk shorts:loveeyes: But that doesn't happen too often..most days you can find me rocking my old navy flip flops.

I bought these this week. They are cuter in person! They are a good 1", 11/2" shorter than most of the wedges I kept liking. I was leary about the natural soles with the thong but I wore them on a girls night out from about 4pm -midnight that included about 2 hours of walking and they held up great! My only complaint is that it has been relatively cool here in upstate NY so I am still wearing jeans/pants a lot more than usual this time of year, but most of the leg lengths are too long bc I usually wear heels with pants.

Well, I just made a special trip to Target and bought the ones I linked to. I noticed that they are basically OOS online and my closest Target had one pair left, so of course that made me feel like I shouldn't sit and contemplate. I went back to the Target by DS's preschool where I saw them in my size and bought them for $20 (after $5 off Merona coupon from a magazine). Love the color, and the wedge is "moderate" and pretty stable.

DSW has recently cut prices on a bunch of Sergio Rossi shoes. And I got $5 DSW rewards certificate for my upcoming birthday. I have no sandals for the summer other than a pair of gladiators and flip flops, so ssed all of these reasons as an excuse to buy these (http://www.dsw.com/shoe/sergio+rossi+x-band+buckle+sandal?prodId=222882) sandals in cognac. They were the most practical SRs available in my size and a practical color.

I also cover a pair of nude patent pump with a platform like these (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/jimmy-choo-cosmic-platform-pump/3135493?origin=category&resultback=1367) JCs but maybe a slightly smaller platform. Girl can dream :)

Thos Uggs do look really comfy, and nice and neutral. I remember when I did the Metra, bus, walking thing up to LDS. I had to wear comfy shoes. It killed me when it rained and my shoes got wet!

I swear that Target does a lot of shoe knock-offs (esp. Aerosoles). As for comfort, I think it really depends on the style at Target. These are real leather and are $25, which is on the higher end of Target pricepoints for shoes.
