Big boys uniform pants/shorts with anything other than a button closure?

DS wears a size 8 pants (LE runs small and he just fits into the 7's now so I'm getting 8's for the next school year). Everything I see has a button closure. Does anything in a size 8 (LE, TCP, JCP--anywhere that sells uniform clothes in slim) have bigger sizes with a hook and eye or snap closure? Buttons are still hard for DS.

Old Navy uniform pants and shorts have a hook closure through size 8 (sizes 10 and up have buttons). Most of their uniform bottoms are available in slim.

I am pretty sure the Cherokee brand at Target also has a hook and eye closure...not sure if they are available in slim sizes.

Thanks. I didn't know Old Navy was not button until size 10. That is really good to know. I know the stuff at Target does not come in slim. I may do shirts from them, but the pants don't work for DS. Going to peruse the ON site now.
