DH used our new blender to make a huge batch of salsa and now it smells like garlic. I want to make smoothies for DC but I don't want to go to the trouble of making them just to have them tell me they taste spicy. Any tips on getting the smell / taste out of the blender pitcher? TIA

I have not tried this, but I wonder if blending a lemon or orange would work?

:yeahthat: I'd try that, or putting it in the dishwasher, or both. :) Good luck!

I'd fill the container most of the way with hot water then add lemon juice and some vinegar and let it sit for a couple of hours.

Maybe fill it with white vinegar and just let it sit for awhile?
