It runs really really small. My DD is on the bigger side (she is 13 months and wears a size 24 months from Carters to give you some perspective), but if I were getting her something from Tea, I would definitely get at least a 2T.

I size up one size, especially in shirts.

I usually size up, but IMHO it's not an entire size small. Last summer I bought, right now actually - LOL, and sized up on everything and Dd couldn't fit it yet. Now she's wearing those clothing and they're getting small when other brands of the same size are not yet.
