DD is 13.5 months and exclusively walking. At daycare she walks outside a lot so she needs more than a soft sole shoe. She has a pair of the Stride Rite SRT sneakers and we LOVE them. I want to get her a pair of sandles so she has a spare if her sneakers get wet and so she can wear something without socks now that the weather is getting warmer. Any suggestions? Just get sandles from Stride Rite? Keens? FWIW, I am not a fan of See Kai Run quality and probably would not buy from them again (she wore a hole through the soft sole shoes in about a month). I'd like to spend $30 or less.

I bought these (http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?searchCID=4016&cid=4016&vid=1&pid=835813&scid=835813002) pedipeds on sale for 17mo DD2. Can be worn w/ or w/out socks. They got quite wet walking in damp grass the other day and dried out pretty quickly and the white leather cleans up very easily.

I really wanted these (http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?searchCID=4016&cid=4016&vid=1&pid=835821&scid=835821002) to work, they are very cute, but they don't come in a 4 and the 5 was just too big.

Spare? Why not just get some at Target or somewhere similar? (I would [and do] get Target regardless, but I know many on here don't like Target shoes.)

I bought the boy version of those for DS and they are so cute!

Babybearsmom, what do you think of these?

The Keens might have too substantial of a sole for her, but they're cute. I really like the Rileyroos, though I've never bought that brand.

Those Rileyroos are super cute! Anyone have experience with Rileyroos? Do they run big/small? Quality?

I've been very impressed with Rileyroos... keep in mind that they do run incredibly big. My 14month old still wears a size 3-6 months and I've read other moms posting similar things as well.

I wouldn't recommend Target or such, especially for sandals.. Their sandals have very hard soles, slippery and barely any padding. I got DD a quick pair for a zoo trip back in April when out of sudden we hit the 80's and she got a bad blister after wearing those for 2 hours :(. I got her a very cute pair in Famous Footwear for cheap, but they have soft pliable straps and very cushy insole. DD had no issues wearing them at all!

Hmmm, better find some place with free shipping/returns so I can find the right size. I wish there was a website that took common brands (Carters, Stride Rite etc.) and said if your kid wears a size x in this brand they are a size y in that brand. I would pay for that website.

That Tiny Soles site I pasted has free shipping for orders over $20, but I don't know about free returns. But it does say that Rileyroos run large and they have a special sizing chart just for them, including one you can print off and place DD's foot on to see what size is best.
